This week was SO LONG!
After some really intense stuff my best friend Elder Nelson was emergency
transferred out! It is all for the better but i will be missing him SO very
much! I am now with Elder Reed. He is a really good missionary and the work is
picking up after all the dedication and service me and Elder Nelson put in. Elder
Reed got transferred into a Gold mine so i hope he is ready. I love and miss
you all! My comp Elder Reed looks EXACTLY like the hunger games
kid! How neat is that?!

Caden {9.15.14}
Hey, not a whole lot of
new going on here... still doing a lot of service!!!! We chipped paint and
chopped up another tree and a half. We are playing flour ball today and we met
some really cool people this week! They are really skeptical about learning
what our thoughts are but my message to all is if something comes before you as
a chance to come closer to Christ... PRAY ABOUT IT and give God the chance to
help you! That goes for all the members as well.. Nobody is above God so stop
thinking you know him as much as he knows all of us. I love you all and i hope
you have a great week! Love Elder Madsen oh ya! And poured concrete.

Hey, how yall doing? GOOD!
Well not a whole ton changing here. We had four moves this week. Three on the
same day! It was pretty crazy stuff. Pianos were involved, things just got
real! we found a new investigator or two... one of them through the neatest
way... the missionaries in Baltimore mission were working with her and then she
moved down here and she has already had 4 lessons so it is pretty exciting to
see what with happen. we are working on a really exciting new thing that we
hope will start around the WHOLE mission but until it happens things will be a
little slow... i love and miss you all and hope all is well!

1st "mission baby" ? CHECK! (:
This month was a slow one.
But, good news is- it's over!!
Only three months until humpday!! Whoo!
This month's postcard takes place at a restaurant not far from our houses, Applebee's. I'm really not even sure how it all started but one day we went to Applebee's randomly and there was bingo going on! At first we laughed- "Yeah, sure. I guess we could play!" Then- it became one of our favorite things to do. More than not, this is where we spent our Wednesday nights. Whether it was just the two of us, or when we brought friends, it became a tradition that I hope will never end. Winning tupperware and spatula's, sharing half off appetizers until we felt like puking, and screaming BINGO across a restaurant started something wonderful. Something that maybe we only understand. But maybe, that's how it should be.
I love you Caden, you have made me so proud. And don't worry, only 65 more Wednesdays until we can continue becoming Bingo pros and preparing to kick all those other grannies booties!

Blessings. ♡
Recently, Caden and I shared our Patriarchal blessings with one another. We have talked about it since before he left but wanted to wait until we both had them to share. Once I received mine, we both prayed about it to seek direction as to whether we should share them now or once he was home. Clearly, we both got similar answers because that is just what we did.
Caden surprised me with his! The day after I got my blessing, I was talking to Caden's parents about it and Caden's came up and I said how I wanted to read it and what not, and his dad was jokingly like "Well.. let's go get it!" Haha. Of course we didn't, but I told Caden about what was said. Then, about a month later, I was over talking to his parents and his mom left the room and came back and handed his dad an envelope. I was pretty confused at this point, but he handed it to me and it was Caden's blessing!! Caden had planned with his parents to have his dad give it to me because of that joke the previous month. I was shocked. I was so emotional that his mom actually had to read it to me the first time.. haha. Needless to say, I was so happy.
Especially after Caden knew I had read his blessing he was dying to know when I was going to let him do the same. I kept playing it off and I think he kind of just let it go and knew I'd share it when I thought it was right. With his birthday package, at the very bottom, I sent my blessing to surprise him. His reaction and thoughts are way too special to me to share on here but it was absolutely the right time. (:
It's funny because what I thought was special before has completely 360'd and become that much more important to me. This guy is my very best friend and I'm so glad that we can share all of our most sacred experiences with eachother even so far apart. It couldn't be more clear that I'd love to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you Caden. ♡
I'm so glad we got some of our reaction on camera. Photo Cred to: Trav and Elder Nelson.

Not much time so here it
is... went dove hunting yesterday but of course didn't shoot. Still really fun!
We had a baptism for James walls. Did a TON of service. Hit a bird while
driving and elder nelson felt bad so we went back and it was not dead yet so i
gave his neck a lil twist. Then we took him to the Ballard’s and Jared helped
us put it on ice till we got home where we took the breast meat out and then prepped
him with a nice Italian rub and some seasoned salt and when we were about to
cook him we backed out cause it looked like he had bugs... good thing it was
tiny! It was a good week though and we get to hear from president tomorrow
which is super exciting. Love you all. Love ME!;)
