《Testimony Meetings》

As I walked into the chapel for Sacrament meeting today, I was expecting another typical Sunday. To my surprise, it was fast and testimony meeting.

Testimony meetings in YSA wards are different. The gospel is still the same, the spirit is still the same, but the words spoken are much closer to home.

Everyone in that chapel has a different story. Some are converts, some members since the womb, some are loud, some soft spoken, some single & happy, some wondering why the right one hasn't come along. All have beautiful, unique, growing and powerful testimonies.

My favorite part about testimony meeting is getting to see that amongst all of the trial, sin, tribulation and hardship, there is something indescribable in that room. The spirit that is found there is unlike anything else. There isn't any pressure  to stand up and speak. Nope. Those testimony's are sincere. Even though I hardly know anyone in my new ward I feel so close to each and every one of them throughout that hour.

Our trials, fears, doubts, troubles and hardships are what build our testimony's. If everything was perfect since the start, how would we grow? Honestly think about that for a minute. Think of every trial you've encountered, and what has come of it. If the sunshine hasn't come yet, it will. I promise you that. Our Heavenly Father will never give you anything you cannot handle.

If you feel you're walking through this life alone, remember sometimes you must ask to be carried.

Your Savior loves you. He loves me. It doesn't matter where you've been, or what you've been through. His love is unconditional. No matter how many times you fall, you can always get back up and try again.

-i.love.mondays-

Today was such a wonderful day. Why? Because it's Monday!! That means.. P-Day! And that means.. I get to talk to Elder Madsen!! I'm so so proud of him. He had a crazy busy week- taught 35 lessons, walked over 38 miles, got 5 new investigators, and set up 6 baptism dates! Can you say proud girlfriend or what? It's hard having your best friend so far away, but knowing he is doing such amazing work makes it all worth it. He has already accomplished so much and I know he is only getting started! Talking to him today was.. great. (: he always knows just what to say to turn every doubt, frustration or worry away without me saying a word. He's incredible. He really is. I'm so lucky I found such a wonderful man who is willing to ditch his life and give it to help others come unto Christ. He's exactly where I want him to he. Exactly where he should be. And most importantly, exactly where Heavenly Father needs him to be. I love you Caden! Keep up the good work. (:

Hey yall... so this week was CRAZY! We got 35 lessons. For the mission that is 15 over average! We worked our butts off and walked a total of 38 or so miles this week. We have 5 new investigators and 6 set baptismal dates! Taylor, whose mother doesn't want her to be baptized but she is following the lord, is set up for April 11th. She wants me to baptize her so I am really excited! Good stuff happening here. Sorry there is no pics but I love and miss youins!

{Three}

This month's postcard takes place at Cafe Zupas. This is the place Caden and I met I back in July of 2011, became best friends, started countless inside jokes, and made memories I could never forget. You could say this is the place that started it all. (:

Three months! More than that now since I suck at keeping up to date. Haha. We've also passed our 100 days down mark! I could not be more proud of this man. He is doing a great job, and the people absolutely love him!! I'm so so so proud and grateful for his choice and desire to serve. He's exactly where he needs to be. I love you Cade, keep it up. ♥

Caden {3.10.14}

Hey yall... so i made it! I am staying in the wonderful land of Springfield and keeping it real in the YSA ward. My new companion will be here on Thursday! Elder Cross will be going on to being a zone leader in the same zone so i have not got rid of him yet and my new comp. Elder Teske has been out just over a year and he will be the district leader. Well not a ton going on here really but ya! I love and miss you all. Stay safe:)

Pictures: Me with a maple bacon donut from a place called Hurt's donuts. They are open twenty four hours a day. They also have an ambulance decked out in donut stuff and they make legit emergency runs to drop off donuts! The other one is me with Andrew Willyerd our ward mission leader assistant.
