Caden {2.23.15}

So sally is going to be baptized next weekend for sure! I am soooo excited. That means that i get to go back and see all my Owasso peeps! I can’t wait. This area is really good. This transfer is going to be some building up and next transfer work will go crazy! Things here will still happen right now just have some preparations to make for the future. Kasady and Mason, a 17 and 10 year old from the riverside area got baptized Saturday so that was pretty sweet and ya! We also set a date with an awesome guy named Demarco. And might do the same today when we meet with Claudia. Today is also the day of womb escape for my sweet little brother! This picture sums all of it up and I hope he has an awesome day and knows i love him! And here are some pics from the week.

Caden {2.17.15}

I love my new area and for sure I love my new companion! He is soooo awesome! We have a lot of work going on here and more to come. On Valentine's Day (love you sweetheart;)) we went to Red Robin TWICE (long story) but i talked to the first waitress and she is coming to activities starting next Monday and then the second time I just left a little note on the table with our number on it and she texted us that night and we are teaching her first lesson TONIGHT! How sweet is that! This area has a boy and girl being baptized Saturday and after that, as long as it goes well, we will head up to Owasso to see Sally get baptized. I love it! This area covers the main city area of Tulsa with the sky scrapers! It is awesome. I love this area so much already and can't wait for the fun to continue! Elder Nielson is soooo cool too! Love you all:)

Caden {2.9.15}

Okay so here it is... I am going to the riverside ward and also covering the Tulsa YSA! I am so excited. I hear nothing but super awesome things about the area so I can't wait. My new companion is Elder Nielson. He seems like a good guy. He served with Elder Bulpitt so I can't wait to check that out! In other news... Harold Moore got baptized and I didn't drown him so give thanks for that! He is an amazing guy with a huge testimony and has over come many struggles to get there! It was kinda strange cause I looked up while welcoming people and I saw the assistant grinning at me! That was cool and then of coarse, who else but President and Sister Shumway, so that was an awesome surprise:) We also got to go to the Woolarock Museum and I drove the BULL! So that was awesome. That day involved 6ish hours of driving. Yuck. But it was good practice for future road trips! Hope you enjoy the many pics and stay tuned cause Sally Moore will be having her baptism most likely on the 21st! I cant wait!!!!

If you want to write him, send me a message or comment for the new address (:

China {Xi'an}

This week we wrapped up teaching for the month for our Chinese New Year break. We had tons of fun making Valentine's, teaching them the Cupid Shuffle and playing "musical hearts" with the kids! I gave myself the teacher of the year award when my 1st grader dumped my bucket of glitter on her head and then proceeded to make glitter angels with her body on the ground.. I'm sure her parents love me. Haha!

By Thursday night we were on a plane to Xi'an! It's always quite the struggle getting anywhere with the language barrior but everything worked out! I took my very first taxi ride from the airport to our hostel and man that was quite the thrill. China traffic is INSANE. And taxi drivers are no exception. Our driver was looking at a map, talking on his phone, dodging through traffic and smoking a cigarette. Skill? Yes. Terrifying? Very.

Friday we went sight seeing around our part of the city. We got to see the Bell Tower, Drum Tower & The Great Mosque. Everything here is just an adventure & the architecture is divine. Saturday we saw the Terra-Cotta Warriors with an Irish couple me met. They hired a tour guide and we got to tag along! They really made that experience what it was for us! The warriors were awesome and how they came to be was even cooler!

Sunday we took our first train ride on a hard seat K-Train. It was much more pleasant than I had in mind. The entire ride we were surrounded by a group of men who were trying to talk to us, which was pretty entertaining. We gave them all English names -- Peter was my fave because he attempted to play rock paper scissors with me. Haha! After our train ride we hiked Mount Huashuan. Never have I ever hiked so many stairs in such a short amount of time. Pregame for The Great Wall I suppose.. But aside from the burning legs, it was absolutely stunning!

Four of us girls decided to do the "plank walk in the sky" together too! That made the entire trip memorable. I was terrified once we got to the peak of the mountain where the planks were and honesty wasn't sure if I'd be able to do it. But homeboy with the harness had things to do so he strapped me right up and sent me on my way. There are really no words that would accurately create an image for this so hopefully my pictures will help. But after I conquered my fear and just went for it, I LOVED it.

Overall, Xi'an was a good time! We leave for Guilin today and I'm stoked to adventure this next city! (:
